Family Vacation Up North

This was our first family vacation up north with the four of us. We arrived late Friday night and pulled right into the street dance in Boulder Junction's downtown. Hip Pocket was performing and I was prepared with a cooler of beverages! We stayed for a handful of songs since it was late but still worth the quick visit. Sunday we took the kids biking and swimming at Rest Lake. We also grabbed food for grilled steaks and shrimp for that night. Back at the cabin we played cards on the and fished on the pier. Saturday night Kevin treated us to a delightful dinner! Sunday we drove into town for the craft fair and spent the day at the cabin. We had dinner at Skyview and played BINGO at the Legion. We left Monday am to get home for John's last T-ball game. It was such a great long weekend!! 

State Fair

Each year, Nonna, John, Rosie and I head to the State Fair. For the first time Papa joined us and Rosie tried her first cream puff!  Just like each year we had such an amazing day: seeing the animals, going on a few rides, playing a few games and eating our way through the fair grounds!

Dirty Ninja Run!

West Bend sponsored a dirty ninja run; a race for kids to run through an obstacle of mud and water! John was a little unsure of himself on the way there but ended up loving the race. I have a feeling he will be racing next year as well; the medal at the end helped make for a great race!
