What an adventure the last eight years have been: four years of schooling in Michigan, an internship in Colorado and a residency in Madison. I would not trade those eight years for anything; Kevin and I grew so much in our relationship. We learned to lean on each other when we were hundreds of miles away from family and friends. I learned so much about myself; I'm stronger than I knew and learned to just get out of the house; it's okay to go out to dinner solo or in my case with John as a little guy. I'm very thankful I did; our mother son dinner dates are something I will always cherish. Moving back home has made me appreciate family even more than I did before; the love they have for John and Rosie is incredible. Throughout these eight years I have an amazing amount of memories. We, as a family, are starting a new chapter in our life especially now that Kevin passed boards. Passing boards was the last thing to complete in Kevin's career journey. We now enjoy weekends and evenings as a family. I can't put into words the emotions behind all of this but I know it's amazing... I'm so proud of Kevin's dedication and hard work and to already see the strong bond between him and John and Rosie makes me happy.

Kevin and I, 2.5 years into vet school at his white coat ceremony. So proud Kevin asked me to place his coat on him.
