Minnesota Visit for Asher's Birthday

John and I love our visits in Minnesota and this last one was no exception. We drove up Thursday morning and got to their house right before the older boys got off the bus which was fun to surprise them at the front door. Friday after dropping the kiddos off at school and while picking Scott up from the airport Michelle saved our lives from what could have been a very different start to our day! It turned out to be nothing but a scare after a car slipped on black ice and ended up in the ditch but otherwise untouched. Friday afternoon I surprised Asher and picked him up from school and treated him to an early birthday hot chocolate date. Friday night we watched Sean rock in on the basketball court. Saturday was Asher's birthday so we spent the morning at the zoo. In the evening I had the boys to myself while Scott and Michelle went out with friends for a school fundraiser. It was a great evening with the boys, pizza, Harry Potter and a lot of playing, along with snuggling with Theo after all the boys were asleep. Him and I ended up falling asleep on the couch! Sunday, John and I headed back home in the am so we could spend the afternoon with Kevin. It was a great weekend. John loves spending time with his cousins and does a great job keeping up with them. Each morning he would wake up and ask for them. It makes my heart so full watching him with four cousins who love him so much. 

John made the group when this happened... He was so proud of his sword in his shirt and the boys were so proud to show him where it goes.
