Where did the time go since Easter? We have been busy enjoying some family time as Kevin's schedule was light for two weeks. Light meaning he was home at 4:30/5pm instead of his usual 7/7:30pm home time. I think during those two weeks, we each gained five pounds as there was a lot of eating out, drinking on our deck and treating ourselves to ice cream... all worth it!
During those two weeks we also celebrated John turning two! TWO!!! John is loving his new found independence that comes with two: walking to the park in our subdivision rather than sitting in the stroller, depending on if time allows walking through Target rather than sitting in the cart, clipping his strap on his car seat and voicing his opinion with his large vocabulary. We are very proud of John's development: (all when he wants to not when we ask) but he can count one to six, point to about fifteen body parts and knows more animals and their sounds than I can count. Good job John.
During these two weeks we snuck in a trip up north for the weekend. We had a great time and were blessed with beautiful weather. We met Amanda from Type A Images downtown for John's second year photos as well as a few family photos. We celebrated Mother's Day. A perfect day of celebrating with Kevin and John in the morning as well as visiting our Moms in the afternoon and evening. John and Kevin gave me a fancy pants camera, my gift for the rest of the year; I wonder if Kevin will rewrap for each holiday? ;) John and I tested it out this week at the UW Arboretum.
John goes to bed a one year old...
and wakes up a two year old!
