Day Trip to the Dells

John and I woke up this morning ready for an adventure so we jumped in the car and headed to Wisconsin Dells. We decided to spend our time at the Deer Park. I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be the right spot for John and me. We were both a little hesitant to go into the park, there is something atypical about being that close to a deer but after a few strides we were comfortable and excited to feed the deer.

After the Deer Park we went to Buffalo Phil's for lunch. The food was nothing special but the atmosphere more than made up for it. The tv's were playing cartoon channels, mostly Thomas the Train. They also had trains that constantly traveled the perimeter of the restaurant. The trains carry toys and stop at the tables for the kids to grab or return a toy. The trains also delivered food and drinks to each table. It was a great experience, that John throughly enjoyed.

We ended our day trip at the Kalahari for snacks. They have a snack hut that I particularly enjoy so John and I enjoyed a snack while watching the hustle and bustle of the lobby before heading home.

Today was the first day in months that John fell asleep during the day. A very successful trip!
