Up North Labor Day Celebration

Kevin, John and I started our Labor Day celebration Thursday night; we spent the night at Kevin's parents' house, boating and eating dinner on the lake. It was wonderful and John did a really good job on the boat. 
Friday we drove up north to spend the long weekend at the cabin. We decided to give camping a go and found it to be a huge success. John actually asked if he could go to sleep rather than us finish his two bedtime stories. We really tried to make this weekend an adventure - Kevin and I swam across the lake (Kevin without a life jacket, I chose to wear one in fear of cramping up), went biking, tubing,  canoeing (another first for John) and tried a few new restaurants. Kevin also golfed his best round - go Kevin! 
We had such a great weekend.
