A Week in Review

John loved Halloween! We got all bundled up last Friday to take John to a few homes in the neighborhood so he could experience trick or treating. Last year he went to two homes and this year six! By the second home he figured out walking up to the front door and knocking at the door. He enjoyed every moment of trick or treating along with handing out candy at our house.

John's loot!

Sunday after Halloween Kevin and I took John to The Little Gym for their Halloween party. It was an open gym style with a few games set up in the party room. We had a great time stretching out our Halloween celebration as well as seeing John as a werewolf one last time!

The Little Gym had a costume contest and John WON "scariest costume!" He got a trophy and was very proud of himself.

John celebrating his win with his teacher Ms. Ryann.

On Monday we bundled up and met our friends Chelsea and Rose at a park in the neighborhood. The kids had such a great time running around and getting some fresh air.

To celebrate John turing 18 months on Thursday November 6 I decide a visit to the Milwaukee Zoo would be fun so we called Chelsea and Rose Wednesday morning since we couldn't go on Thursday. They were able to join us so we bundled up and headed down to Milwaukee. We had a great time seeing all the exhibits and the kiddos were happy to walk around for a bit.

John and Rose are so proud of their Mold - A - Rama's a must do when I take John to the zoo; those plastic animals remind me of my childhood and I just can't resist them.

After a three hour visit to the zoo Rose was peacefully asleep in her stroller before we left the parking lot... John... well John was not.
Chelsea had Wall E on her iPad and let John watch it which got him asleep pretty quickly.

John's 18 months!

Thursday night Jackie (aka Auntie Shay Shay) came to visit us! We have started something of a tradition of Thursday night visits with Chinese, home facials and home manicures with a movie. This visit was no different however we added a trip to the mall which included a fire truck and space ship ride. John loved both and I am pretty sure it's going to be tough to walk past these toys without John "needing" another ride. :) The mall is smart too because they are placed right by the entrance.

Jackie and I went on the space ship with John and had a great laugh. When the ride was over we both cheered and called out, "yay" which John responded with "YES!" It made me so happy that he was so happy. A simple dollar ride that he went on with his mommy and auntie caused him so much happiness.
Thanks for visiting Jackie we had a great visit and can't wait for the next one!
