We had such a wonderful holiday weekend. It started Thursday when we headed down to Milwaukee for Thanksgiving. We started at my parents for a Thanksgiving lunch.
Afterwards we had dinner with Kevin's family and stayed for the disappointing Packer game.
Despite the game Thanksgiving was wonderful. We ate such yummy food and had a great holiday with both families.
Friday Kevin spent the morning with John at his parents house while I headed down to Grandpa's house for cookie decorating with all the girl cousins: Michelle, Alexa, Kyla, Annika and Isabella. It was the first time we did this and hopefully a continued tradition. We decorated cookies, had lunch with Grandpa and decorated his house for Christmas! Afterwards we met Kevin and John at my parents house. Kevin stayed behind with the kiddos while Michelle, Mom and I went to Mockingjay Part 2. It was so fun getting to a movie, I feel like the three of us try each Thanksgiving weekend but it doesn't always happen; glad we made it work this year.
After the movie we met back up with Kevin and left John with my parents, Michelle, Asher and Theo and headed to Park Ave Pizza for Kevin's Dad, John's surprise birthday party. I am not sure that we really surprised him but it was definitely a great night!
Saturday morning I headed to my parents house to spend the morning with them which always includes a trip to Starbucks!
In the afternoon John, Asher and I started the fun for their first sleepover! Before we picked up Kevin and Murphy we stopped at Kopps for ice cream; a must for any sleep over. :)
We grabbed Kevin, headed back to Madison and straight to a local gym where Kevin had the boys running, jumping and tumbling for a full hour. It was all giggles from both boys.
We then headed to the Nitty Gritty for burgers and dancing each time the restaurant played "Happy Birthday!" We drove around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights on our way home. The boys both passed out at 8:15. We all had such a great evening!
The morning went by too quickly before we had to say our goodbyes. John was so proud to have cousin Asher sleepover and was close to inconsolable when we had to say goodbye.
We met Michelle just outside of Madison to drop Asher off. Once home we decided to decorate the house for Christmas including picking out the perfect Christmas tree and decorating it.
What a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by so many friends and family -- truly a blessing! I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES!!!
